Creating the Right Image is an important part of promoting your business, and the website style that appeals to you is not necessarily the style that will persuade visitors to your site that they want to do business with you. 

A style of website like this might well be appropriate if the impression you need to give is that your company is respectable, trustworthy, reliable--and if the product or service you provide needs a high degree of discretion--and that can include anything from an alternative health practitioner to a lawyer to a private detective. 

Psychologically, the colour blue is calming, and the text is set out as though it were on a formal piece of stationery.  Of course, there are many other ways to create the same kind of impression. 

Incidentally, I have individually designed the buttons you see to the left to suit the particular style of website, and there is almost no limit to the variety that can be designed to suit the unique style of site you and I develop together to suit the expectations of your customers. 

This style also uses a rather smaller size of font than I would usually use--generally, a larger, more readable font is going to make the site more accessible--but if the text on the site is subtly mimicking a typed letter, then it would not be appropriate to be using a large font.
