Hi!

I'm David Carpenter. I built this website, and maintain it for Michelle and Jeff.  I'm not a professional website designer--it's just a hobby--by profession I'm a psychotherapist, counsellor and hypnotherapist, with a

As a hobby, I build websites    for small businesses etc., for next to nothing--(and they all look very different from each other!) For more details, visit my 'hobby' website at

You're also welcome to visit the hypnotherapy/psychotherapy practice website at www.helpishere.co.uk  (Both home-made by me, of course.)

In September 2004, my wife and I went to stay at the Headland Hotel, Newquay in Cornwall.  We'd both been working very hard, and needed the rest.  The very first night, as we sat in the restaurant having our evening meal, I remarked to my wife--what an AMAZING pianist, playing in the background!  This was seriously better than the 'musak' you hear in piano bars everywhere--clearly someone playing with real affection and love for the sounds, and with real ability too...

I went over to chat to him between courses, and found that he would be performing with his wife singing later, in the lounge.  My wife and I decided to wait around in the lounge after the meal, and stop to listen.  What we heard just blew us away!!!

Jeff can make that keyboard do just about everything but make the tea!  We were treated to a real virtuoso performance.

As for Michelle--well, I never before heard a jazz singer who could make every note a cliff-hanger--it seemed like a song would hang suspended in mid air, then just as it was about to crash to the ground, up it soared again…  a bit like the seagulls on the cliffs outside the hotel…

We went to the Headland last time for a rest and a bit of luxury. (it's certainly that!)  This year, (2005) we plan to go back there in May.--We'll enjoy the luxury, sure, but what we're really going back for is another 'fix' of some of the most amazing live music we've ever heard--Michelle and Jeff!
